Frank's Burger Shop in Ramsbottom served its last orders on Sunday 18 October 2026, after six years at 9 Bolton Road West. Owners Matt and Nick said they were staying at the same address and planned to open a new concept in early November.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News (21 October 2026), the pair announced the closure on social media on 7 October. They said they started at the beginning of Covid, after closing their previous business, Roots, because of lockdown restrictions. "We quickly realised that Rammy needed a decent gourmet burger shop," they wrote, adding that they once got "a slot on BBC breakfast". In the days before closing, they posted that they were already "fully booked for tonight", "like the lockdown days".

They said they had decided to "go back to our roots" and that they had "seen enough burgers for a little while". They thanked suppliers including Littlewood Butchers, Birtwistles Butchers, Chad Isherwood, Vic Graham potatoes and Thatchers Bakery, and the staff — including teenagers who started there at 15.

The new concept is a partnership with Zip Coffee and the food business Marrow (also referred to as Eat Marrow). The owners teased it as "something that we think's missing from Rammy" and said to "think coffee, fire and wine". The Bury Times (22 October 2026) reported that it would open at 9 Bolton Road West in early November.

Zip Coffee, which has traded from the same address, said on 12 October that it would close in its current form after 18 October for a few weeks of refurbishment. Its owner said the businesses would "join forces to bring you an all day cafe bar dining experience", with Eat Marrow curating the menu.

As of early November 2026, the new venue's name, menu, opening date and opening hours had not been publicly announced. MEN reported that further details were due in the weeks before the November launch. Check local social channels for updates.
