Welcome to Best of Manchester – my independent, curated guide to the UK’s second city of culture, media, and local commerce. Manchester is a global powerhouse of creativity, legendary history, and digital innovation.

I built Best of Manchester to cut through the noise, delivering independent recommendations, sharp directory listings, and a closer look at the people and places that make Manchester tick.
Quality Standards: Only the Best Make the Cut
To ensure complete reliability and protect readers from low-quality services and sub-par experiences, every single business featured in the directory must maintain a verified rating of at least 4 stars across major review platforms like Google, Facebook, or Trustpilot. To enforce this standard, we have built our own proprietary monitoring tool that tracks ratings on an ongoing basis. If a business drops below our quality threshold, it is automatically flagged for review and removed from the site.
Who is behind it?
The platform is founded and operated by Kasper Skov Jensen – a formally trained journalist (DMJX) and digital specialist based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
With a lifelong fascination with Manchester and extensive experience running digital platforms, I also operate the digital consultancy CheaperClicks, where I help local businesses build stronger digital presence and local visibility. That practical, hands-on understanding of local commerce and quality standards is built straight into the DNA of Best of Manchester: supporting top-tier local enterprise while giving readers a reliable, independent guide to the city.
