Costa Coffee Opens at Cineworld Ashton-under-Lyne |
First of up to 26 Costa stores in Cineworld cinemas |

Costa Coffee has opened its first store inside a Cineworld cinema, at Cineworld Ashton-under-Lyne in Greater Manchester. The company said the store opened on 21 October 2026.
The Ashton store is the first under a collaboration the two companies announced in May, which will bring Costa to up to 26 Cineworld cinemas across the UK. Property Week reported at the time that Costa would replace the existing Starbucks coffee offer in the cinemas under a 10-year agreement.
Cineworld says the Costa stores will open in phases through 2026 and 2027. Its Costa page lists Ashton-under-Lyne as open and Broughton, Didsbury, Glasgow Silverburn and Telford as coming soon. It says customers can expect handcrafted hot and iced drinks, sandwiches, toasties and sweet treats, that the Costa Club app will work at participating stores, and that Cineworld Unlimited members will get 10% off.
Insider Media reported that existing staff at the current coffee operator's sites will be offered the chance to be kept on and retrained. Cineworld's director of retail, Tim Sparrow, said Costa is “re-energising our coffee spaces”.
The full list of 26 cinemas, as reported by Insider Media, also includes Broughton Park and Didsbury in Greater Manchester.
