Oldham Fireworks and Bonfire Night 2026
Free Feast of Fire on 31 October and community bonfires on 7 November

Oldham Council is not running a bonfire of its own this year, but it is hosting a free Halloween and Bonfire Night event in the town centre, and three community groups are holding bonfire nights on 7 November.

Feast of Fire, Saturday 31 October. The council's free event in the area around Parliament Square starts at 5.30pm, with fire dance performances and The Lips Halloween Show by Puppets with Guts, followed by a pyrotechnic Halloween fireworks display. The council says parking is free after 3.30pm in its town centre car parks.

Grotton Bonfire and Firework Display, 7 November. The event at Grotton Pavilion Community Centre on Station Road (OL4 5SF) starts at 6pm, with hot food, a licensed bar and a DJ set from Andy Stott. Tickets went on sale on 21 September and sold out on 3 October, according to the Oldham Chronicle's Local Democracy Reporting Service report. The pavilion has warned on Facebook about fake accounts offering tickets and says tickets are physical only, with no e-tickets, adding: “Please do not send money to anyone claiming to have tickets available.”

Woodhouses Cricket Club, 7 November. The club, on Medlock Road (M35 9NG), says gates open at 5pm, the bonfire is lit at about 6.30pm, the children's fireworks start at about 7pm and the main display at about 7.45pm; it says timings are approximate. The early-bird prices ended on 25 October. Standard tickets are £30 for a family (two adults and two children), £12 for an adult and £8 for a child over five. Under-fives go free but must still be booked, and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. The club says the night has sold out for the last four years and that it is one of its biggest fundraisers of the year.

Shaw Cricket Club, 7 November. The club, on Mark Lane (OL2 8QG), has run its bonfire for more than 25 years. Gates are expected to open at 5.30pm, with the bonfire lit at 6pm and fireworks at 7.30pm. Check the club for ticket details.

Oldham Council told the local press it had been notified of these three bonfire events for 7 November. Other events may be happening that it has not been told about.
